Neon Abyss 2 Achievements: All 32 Steam Ones Listed
Neon Abyss 2 has 32 Steam achievements, and every one of them is listed on Steam's own statistics page alongside its official description and the real percentage of players who hold it. This is a checklist rather than a walkthrough: no 1:1 route to every achievement has been published, so we are giving you the official conditions grouped by what they actually track, with the real completion rates attached.

How are the 32 Neon Abyss 2 achievements organised?
They fall into five groups. The counts below are derived from the achievement list itself, and they add up to the published total of 32.
| Group | How many | What it tracks |
|---|---|---|
| Pass Level | 7 | Reaching each of Levels 1 through 7 |
| Blackdog Level | 5 | A meta-progression level on fixed thresholds |
| Agent unlocks | 8 | Unlocking each playable character |
| Boss defeats | 10 | Defeating each named god |
| Standalone | 2 | One-off unlock conditions |
The Blackdog Level group is worth calling out because its thresholds are not sequential levels of the main run — they sit at 2, 10, 20, 30 and 50. This is the persistent progression track that sits under everything else.
Our research plan recorded the Blackdog group as four achievements while simultaneously listing five thresholds. The five-threshold reading is the one that reconciles: 7 Pass Level + 5 Blackdog + 8 Agent + 10 boss + 2 standalone = exactly 32. We have gone with the arithmetic and flagged it rather than silently picking a number.
Which achievements are the floor progression ones?
Seven of them are straightforward progression markers, one per level, and their names are unusually revealing about the game's structure:
- Into the Abyss — Pass Level 1
- In the Zone — Pass Level 2
- Baptism of Fire — Pass Level 3
- Chaos Unleashed — Pass Level 4
- The Heretic Awakens — Pass Level 5
- Prelude to Deicide — Pass Level 6
- New Gods' Demise — Pass Level 7
The level count matters for progression planning. Passing Level Six is the achievement called Prelude to Deicide, and Level Seven is New Gods' Demise — so the ladder runs seven levels deep, and the seventh is the deepest officially marked point in the current build. The new 1.0 boss Theia sits past that as the end-game fight, and her achievement has only just been added to the list.
Which achievements unlock the Agents?
Eight achievements correspond to Agent unlocks, and this is the one place where the achievement list does real work as a roster confirmation. Because these are official achievements rather than a community wiki, an Agent appearing on the Steam statistics page is proof the character exists in the game:
Saya, Elise, James, Mira, Lucia, Cassie, R-7 and Xuan. Our agents page has the published unlock tasks where they exist, and marks the ones that are not publicly documented.
The connection to other systems is direct. Elise's unlock is hatching 8 Hatchmon, so her achievement is gated behind the pet system covered in the Hatchmon guide. Note that Nik does not have an Agent-unlock achievement, which is consistent with him being the default character available from the start.
Which Neon Abyss 2 achievements are the rarest?
The completion rates on the list are the interesting part, and they fall off a cliff in a way that tells you something about the game. Into the Abyss — the very first progression achievement, Pass Level 1 — is held by only 3.0% of all players. That is a low number for a first-step achievement and suggests a substantial share of owners have not cleared the first level.
The two rarest are genuinely obscure:
- Magic Jar — "Use 30 Wonder Jars" — 0.1% of players
- Neon Trip — "Be defeated for the first time in the Abyss" — 0.2% of players
Neon Trip is the funny one: the rarest achievements in the game are largely about dying, not winning. Beating the game is a much more common achievement than being defeated by it, which is an unusual shape for a bullet-hell roguelite and worth knowing before you assume your friends have simply not finished the game.
The developers have acknowledged on Steam Community that automatic achievement unlocking is a goal rather than a commitment. If a game event does not trigger its achievement, it may need to be unlocked manually in Steam — do not assume the list is wrong.
